Philly Cheesesteak of the Year

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Deer Park® Brand, and as part of the celebration, Deer Park is elevating the local people, places, things and traditions that have stood the test of time, which certainly describes the iconic Philly cheesesteak.
The top cheesesteak-makers in the city, chosen from an online poll, were invited to participate in the inaugural Deer Park Philly Cheesesteak of the Year contest at the South 9th St. Italian Market Festival on Saturday, May 20 at 11 am.

Korean Taqueria of South Philly
Lorenzo’s Pizza of 9th St Italian Market - THE WINNER
Rocco’s of South Philly
Woodrow’s Sandwich Shop of South St - 3RD PLACE
The winner not only earned the all-important bragging rights, but also received a significant trophy to display in their shop. In addition, Deer Park will donate $5,000 to the charity of the winner’s choice, Eagles Autism Challenge.
